How Are Art & Social Innovation Related?

What Can Art Do for You? is a new "mini-doc" created to accompany the Creative Catalyst Symposium organized by Madeleine Co & Ryerson University. 

The piece interrogates the role of art in social change, including diverse perspectives from:

• Greg Van Alstyne (OCAD U), Wendy Cukier (Ryerson U), Janine Marchessault (York U)
• Artists Darren O'Donnell, Sean Martindale, Farrah-Marie Miranda and Amanda Parris
• Funding officer Michael Murray, politician Kristyn Wong-Tam, producer/curator Asad Raza, and members of the public

The Creative Catalyst Symposium brought together Canadian artists, designers, researchers, industry, and community members in discussion on how arts and culture catalyzes social innovation.
